XDEEP weight pockets are designed with an inner holder that has a sturdy handle to carry and manipulate the weight effortlessly, which enhances safety. This feature allows you to extract the weight from the pocket at once and hand it over to the boat crew, simplifying the process of getting on the boat without any possibility of dropping the weight.
Securely mounted but easily droppable
Weight loss during a dive can cause accidents. XDEEP weight pockets are equipped with ITW NEXUS buckles that are made of polyacetal, a robust material that can withstand salty water and extreme temperatures. The buckles are very durable and produce an audible “click” sound when fastened, providing assurance that the weight is securely mounted. In case of an emergency, the large size of the buckle allows for easy weight-dropping.
Protection against lead compounds
Lead solid belt weights are typically covered with a layer of lead oxide, a carcinogenic substance capable of accumulating within the human body. Handling these weights with bare hands after a dive can transfer lead particles onto the skin. Similarly, carrying uncovered solid weights in a vehicle can lead to the penetration of carcinogenic lead oxide into the surrounding environment. However, the internal holders of XDEEP pockets offer reliable protection against lead oxide exposure during both the handling and transport of weights.
